Ever wondered what it would be like to have a different eye color? I know I always have. Instead of spending so much money on contacts (especially since I won’t wear them more than once lol) I decided to resort to good old editing. Don’t be fooled, I am no editing pro! I use the one app ALL women have and know how to operate…Facetune!
But the original, not the latest release.
I have both and I love BOTH for different reasons. I use the original Facetune app for changing my eye color and patching up my blemishes and everything else happens on Facetune 2.
Let me show you how simple it is…

This is my unedited eye color.

Once I upload my image onto the app I click on “Tones”

Then click on “Palette.” This is when you decide what you want to change your eye color to. I’m going to go for a sexy ‘Bahamas’ turquoise (you’ll see how the final edit looks like Bahamian waters π)

This is when the work begins. First, you must pick your base color which is always the darkest. Then, you apply that color in a tapping motion around the perimeter of the eye. Don’t just swipe the color along you must tap in order to build the color and to keep the edit looking flawless.

Then, pick your second shade (something much lighter than your first shade) and apply that color near your pupil and in random spots around the first region. It’s all about building the colors and tapping them onto the screen.

Your final shade looks like it’s white but it’s still within the turquoise color family. I always choose 3 shades that go well together in a gradient and that’s easier to do because the app already provides these shades in a gradient, you just have to play with the colors to see what will be the most complimentary.

This is the final result. It might take a few tries getting the colors right but I promise you once you get the hang of it it’s the easiest process. Just remember to only tap, no swiping!

Here’s a video to demonstrate how simple it is to change your eye color!
