Hey babes! I’ve been so inspired by Coachella looks this year with all the fun fashion, amazing vibes, and of course THE HAIR!
I am so into the fun and slightly wild hair trends that festivals are notorious for having, but do I sound crazy if I say these hairstyles are SO cute that you’ll want to wear them out on a warm summer Sunday or even at an upcoming pool party?! Because I totally would!
Here are SIX fabulous looks we came up with:
I am in love with this hair!!!! My cousin, Lucy, and I thought it would be genius to put my evil eye brooch (present from Armenia) on my hair for some added fun.
Needless to say it looks amazing against the chain detail and the perfect gold clips.
This pearl concoction is so chic & fun I can’t get over it!
Now this is what trendy chic looks like! We had a lot of fun adding brooches and chains to my hair because of how dramatic and gorgeous it looks.
BTW, this is my favorite Chanel brooch that I can style with anything.
These rhinestone hair clips are so trendy right now & so easy to apply yourself! All you have to do is curl your hair, run your fingers through it, texturize it a bit, and apply the clips for that fun dramatic look!
You guys know my obsession with using scarves in my hair (read this post if you don’t) so of course this was one of the styles Lucy came up with.
I love Zara scarves bc they are affordable & so cute!
This is the last look we did and I love vintage cat-eye sunglasses (especially when they are only $10) and they look sooooo gorgeous with this Zara scarf
Let’s kick off the new year with a very special post all about Levon’s bday! I still can’t believe I have a ONE year old. Like WHAT???!!??!?!?!?
You guys know Levon turned 1 last November and we threw him an amazing FIRST birthday party that took me about a month to plan; which isn’t very long in the party planning world. I wanted to hire a party planner but honestly it just wasn’t worth the money because I had the vision, the time, and the resources to do it all myself…so why not.
If I can do it, literally anyone can!
So anytime I want to host or plan a party I think about my theme before anything else, I search all over Pinterest and Instagram for inspo, gather all my ideas, then I go ahead with actually putting in the work to plan.
Here’s a super easy guide/list you can print or save in your phone to help you get organized while planning your next party:
Right click, save image, then print.
I went for a rustic French theme with a neutral color palette since we were going to be outside with a beautiful view of Belaire Hills. I wanted my guests to feel the Parisian vibe throughout with the whole “Monsieur Levon” theme and all the little details. I loved the idea of having a boulangerie (bakery) where guests could fill up custom goodies bags with baked goods, I mean you don’t get more French than that right? LOL. I also had custom pins made with monsieur Levon’s face for all the kids. I’m kind of a detail freak and I think it makes all the difference when you add little touches here and there while keeping the theme in mind!
Please note that all the vendors I’m mentioning below are AMAZING and I would go with them all over again if I had to, especially the dessert and food. WOW!
When I was searching for a venue I wanted something that would fit in with my theme and Peekaboo Playland (Belaire) was the perfect spot. They have an awesome patio area with a gorgeous view of the hills. The location is super secluded too!
My favorite part was that my guests showed up to a venue they had never been to before. Like 97% of my guests had never been to this indoor playground, which is a huge plus for Armenians since we tend to do parties at the same locations every time.
If you’d like to design, print, and mail invitations, or even just design and print, I would go with Shutterfly. They have awesome preset designs and affordable printing prices too.
Atam Hatik “Teething Party”:
Armenians do this traditional teething party for babies once they get their first tooth and I decided to combine Levon’s with his birthday because his first tooth came just a few weeks before. We usually start by putting a piece of tulle over the baby, dropping cooked barley all over it, and wishing the baby healthy teeth. The cooked barley represents healthy teeth. Then we put objects, or in my case chocolates, in front of them that represent professions. We then have this fun little game of the baby picking a few items to guess his/her future profession. Oddly enough when I had this party as a baby I picked a pen (writer) and money. I’m a blogger who isn’t rich yet but I’m working towards it LOL! Levon picked a car, doctor, and scissors. We predict he’ll be surgeon (preferably plastic 😂) with a nice car. Do you guys do something like this in your culture? I’d love to hear in the comments below.
Even though the party took place at an indoor playground and that’s plenty of entertainment for kids (even babies) I wanted to bring some more fun to the party. I hired an entertainer from Happily Ever Laughter and she did face painting, singing, and glitter tattoos.
His stripped bodysuit and stripped romper are sold out and I can’t find it anywhere so I listed other options. All his outfits were from Jacadi (favorite kids clothing brand ever). Oh, and it’s French haha.
Shoes: Dr. Mymi they have a store in Hollywood where I got his shoes from. They are an amazing orthopedic shoe brand.
I’m going to end this post with a huge thank you to the incredible vendors that helped pull this party off without a hitch. So glad I found some talented people I can hire time and time again from the rentals to the food. Not a single person left hungry or disappointed, in fact I got countless texts and questions about all the vendors. That’s how you know you pulled off an awesome party.
If you’re planning a party don’t forget to save my helpful checklist and share it with all your girlfriends. Sending you all good luck and lots of love!
All my up to date fashionistas know that pearls are really in this season, and have been for a few seasons now. What I love about Zara is that they always stay up to date with the latest fashion trends and faux pearls were no acceptation. I’ll be honest, I was slowly becoming over the whole faux pearl trend just because they were putting it on EVERYTHING! But the minute I played eyes on these boots I fell in love.
The constant lesson that I never learn with Zara is that you should never buy anything full price. Why? Because it’s bound to go on sale eventually so unless you are dying to have an item right that second, just hold off for a few weeks because they always have amazing sales. I’m an avid online shopper and it seems that every time I go on their website they are having a huge sale. Currently, these boots are only $20! I bought them for $120!!!!!!! *Pause for the FML moment*
UPDATE: The boots have been sold since this blog post was published, but here is an identical pair for only $42!
Anyways, they are super comfy but run veryyyy small, like 2 sizes small. I would order two sizes up and just return the one that doesn’t fit. I love that the faux pearl isn’t overpowering and that I can wear it with both dresses & jeans, which is always a plus.

Processed with VSCO with s1 preset
I’m also obsessed with the biker version of these boots, which are currently NOT on sale but one of their best selling items. I would grab these quick because they are bound to sell out, even if they go on sale.
